Burton Rast

Burton Rast is an artist and designer living in San Francisco, California. He has explored and enjoyed a range of disciplines throughout his twenty+ year career, from creative direction, visual design, and motion graphics, to filmmaking, creative coding, and photography. Burton has served in a startup, worked on the client & agency sides, and spent seven years at IDEO as a Principal Designer and Project Lead. He currently works as a UX Design Lead at Google and, during off-hours, crafts unintentionally moody imagery for both the centralized and decentralized web. Burton is passionate about keeping the web, and the device in your pocket, safe and secure. You can find his images in publications the world over.
